The body is a wonder to the natural world it can do things that we take for granted for example, keeping us alive, moving and a million other things. With this set of work I was fascinated with the idea of representing all the muscles in the body so I gathered information on every muscle in the body, what they looked like, what they did and how they moved. Using this information and pieces of clay all the same size I moulded shapes that I felt represented each muscle. There is something quite incredible about how they look as a whole laid out on the floor. I invited people who didn’t know what the objects represented, to come and play to see what they would do.  Patterns and new forms emerged from this.
